Week 6

Another long and busy week for this growing babe.  Week 6 started with my first doctor's appointment, which was 3 hours long and filled with needles and a too early ultrasound where no heartbeat was detected.  Hearing that was worrisome, but my doctor reassured me that I had been scheduled too early and everything else was on track.  Also, after the ridiculous amount of nausea I've felt this week, I'm pretty sure this little bean is growing.  I'll be going back next week for another ultrasound and am looking forward to hearing baby's little heartbeat.

Fast-forward to the weekend, which we spent in Tennessee with my parents.  Harrison rocked his "coolest brother" tee on the plane and surprised my parents with an early Christmas gift- grand baby #2!  We also told Mike's parents this weekend and it feels so nice to have our families know.  I spent most of the weekend on the couch, but it was nice to get away and spend quality time with the fam.

How far along? 6 weeks
Maternity clothes? Anything tight is just plain uncomfortable, and I'm not ashamed of maternity pants or leggings, so those are quickly becoming part of my daily wardrobe.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I wish- with a new job and a toddler naps are pretty impossible and even though I'm pooped, staying asleep at night is a rarity.
Best moment this week: Sharing the news with the grandparents :)
Miss Anything? I miss wine and beer, but then nausea hits and it's the last thing I want.  I also miss energy.
Movement: Nada
Food cravings: Eating is hard, which sucks coming from an entry level foodie, but nothing looks or sounds good at the moment.  I've lost two pounds and although I would normally be stoked about it, I know this little one needs the calories, so I'm force feeding myself oatmeal, bagels, and toast.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Everything.  I threw up once this week... good times.
Gender: Is it February yet?!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Not sure if I've mentioned this, but I'm extrememly nauseous and tired.  All. day. long.
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Both
Looking forward to: Next week's ultrasound!
